Bio

I use WordPress.org mainly to raise plugin and theme issues and to follow support discussions. I don’t browse for plugins or themes here — I log in only when I need to troubleshoot something on my site and collaborate with developers for faster resolution. I’m a content editor at Best Places of Interest, and my focus is on maintaining a smooth, stable site rather than contributing to development.

This version keeps your identity clear: you understand WordPress, but you’re not a beta‑tester or developer.

WordPress Origin Story

How I Got Involved With WordPress

I came to WordPress when I needed a platform that could hold both sides of my work — the narrative and the technical. I wasn’t looking for a simple blogging tool. I needed a system that could support structured editorial calendars, travel arcs, longform essays, and at the same time give me full control over themes, templates, and plugin behaviour.
My first real involvement began when I built a child theme to fix layout issues I couldn’t solve with settings alone. That led me into header templates, CSS overrides, and plugin interactions. Once I realised how much of WordPress runs on collaboration between users and developers, I started using the support forums not just to ask for help, but to contribute clear diagnostics, reproducible steps, and conflict isolation.
WordPress became my home because it lets me blend creative rhythm with technical precision — and the forums became the place where I work with developers to keep that ecosystem stable.
