    Bio

    Hi, my name is Anna, I am the WordPress Community Director at GreenGeeks and, of course, a WordPress lover!

    I have been involved with this community for over two years now and I think it is just amazing and full of wonderful people, and I am so proud to be part of it.

    I love attending camps and meetups and just being there for the community!

    My background is actually marketing, with a focus on SEO and branding. I have built hotel brands in the past, and I have helped GreenGeeks boost their rankings when previously working as Content Marketing Team Lead.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I started learning WordPress in 2014 when I was hired as Content Marketing Team Lead for GreenGeeks. I knew some HTML from previously working on a custom CMS for a hotel group, and it was useful to know that while working on blogs and tutorials, but WordPress took it to another level for me. I have been using WordPress also to create my personal website. WordPress is an awesome CMS!

    I manage our WordCamp sponsorships, which gives us access to all WordCamps in the US, Canada and Latin America and all around the world. A lot of my job is figuring out how we can, engage with attendees at WordCamps and work with organizers of Camps to make sure that camps are a success and basically just be part of the WordPress community.
