Angie is a freelance writer and photographer who can’t get enough of South America. The lesser-known the destination, the more she wants to visit. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon and makes frequent trips to Ecuador.

WordPress Origin Story

When I started my WordPress blog, it was to share my experiences as a military spouse about to move to South America. More than five years later, my blog tells more than my own story. I write about the wonderful people and stunning destinations of Ecuador and other Andean nations. Today, Not Your Average American helps North American tourists better connect with guides and tourism opportunities in South America.
