WordPress Origin Story

Wanted to add a blog to my website and settled on WordPress (being the best and all). So installed wordpress and customized the theme to look like the rest of the website – learning HTML, CSS, PHP, and SEO as I went.

6 months later I wanted to migrate the whole site to WordPress. So I started with a paid theme called Polyon and created all new pages in that that matched the old content. I also created my first child theme and heavily customized the CSS. 3 years later and I changed the site template again, this time to Avada. A month or so migrating (had to re-write all content as all new shortcodes and base css) and the new site is up and running.

I did a quick blog on the history of the site, which can be seen [here]

I simply love WordPress, and can never recommend it enough to friends and colleagues…
