    I am a founder of dev company Trenvo. We build business-oriented WordPress websites and apps.

    We are also part of a cool WordPress maintenance service Remaintenance. We pro-actively monitor a website’s performance, security and SEO status continuously, so site owners can focus on their business instead of on the health of their websites.

    WordPress Origin Story

    When I rode my bike down from Europe to the southern most tip of Africa in 2010, I ran out of cash where my trip should have ended. Instead of selling my bike and flying back to the northern hemisphere, I started selling my WordPress skills.

    I got my break building a DYI site-builder for local NGOs in Soweto (Johannesburg), to empower them to build and maintain their own online identities. Together with my business partner in the Netherlands, I started Trnevo and slowly zig-zagged my way back up the dark continent building websites and apps with WordPress for corporate clients.

    Four years later, I sold the bike after having come halfway back up and down Africa twice.

    While the bike is still travelling, Trenvo is now offering tailor-made WordPress maintenance solutions (Remaintenance) and are running several of our own start-ups on WordPress, including a cloud speech recognition and dictation portal (RedSpeak) and a blogging platform for travel companies (TravelPress).
