My Journey from Curious Newbie to Certified WordPress Pro: The Michael Franklin Jr. Story

In the early 2000s, as the digital world began to expand its horizons, I found myself intrigued by the potential of making money online. It was around 2004 when I got my hands on my very first computer, opening up a world of possibilities that I could scarcely imagine. Armed with determination and a thirst for success, I embarked on a journey that would ultimately lead me to become a certified WordPress expert and the proud owner of my own digital marketing company, MCNM LLC.

As I sat in front of my new computer, I knew I wanted to find a way to capitalize on the burgeoning online landscape. With a simple search for “free money,” fate directed me to Global Domains International (GDI). Their proposition was intriguing – a domain and hosting platform that aimed to recreate the Dotcom boom, offering the unique .ws domain extension. It was a moment that marked the beginning of my journey into the world of web development and online entrepreneurship.

GDI had a novel concept: offering users the chance to build a website and make money from referrals. Armed with their platform, I started crafting my first website. However, the platform was quite limited in its capabilities at the time. Despite the constraints, I persevered and gradually built my own website. The turning point came when GDI adopted the WordPress platform. It was like a breath of fresh air, expanding my creative possibilities and opening doors to a world of website development that I had yet to explore.

As GDI transitioned to WordPress, I took the opportunity to delve into this powerful platform. Learning the ropes, I honed my skills, and my websites began to reflect a level of professionalism and creativity that caught the attention of those around me. With time, I started to introduce people to GDI’s services, explaining how they could build their online presence and potentially earn money through referrals.

The people I referred soon discovered that building a website wasn’t as easy as they had imagined. Recognizing my growing expertise, some of them approached me and asked if I could help them create their websites. Eager to showcase my abilities and contribute to their success, I agreed. Despite the limitations of the platform, I did my best to bring their visions to life.

But the turning point came when GDI fully embraced WordPress. This shift opened up a world of opportunities. With a more versatile and user-friendly platform at my disposal, I could now translate my creative ideas into functional and visually appealing websites. As I continued to help others, my proficiency in WordPress grew exponentially.

Fast forward to today, and my journey has led me to a place I once could only dream of. With well over 100 websites built using WordPress, I’ve become a certified expert in WordPress website development. The knowledge and experience I gained along the way paved the path for the creation of my own digital marketing company, MCNM LLC.

Looking back, that initial search for “free money” was the catalyst for my incredible journey. Every challenge I faced, every website I built, and every client I served contributed to my growth. The evolution from a curious individual to a certified WordPress pro and business owner was not without its hurdles, but it’s a journey I wouldn’t trade for anything. As I continue to innovate and create in the digital realm, I’m reminded of the power of determination, curiosity, and the transformative capabilities of technology.
