WordPress Origin Story

I poked my first WordPress.com site in Feb. 2006… right along with so many other things when I started working freelance. I didn’t quite know what I wanted to do, other than making money online that is. I quickly fell in love with WP and started learning more about it, which took me back to my high school days of coding HTML. Eventually, I found out that there was an open-source version of it and before I knew it, I was learning about servers, installing WP, and more coding. I was head over heels by the time I had my first actual Web Design freelance gig, WordPress has given me the freedom to be able to support my children while doing something I love.
