WordPress Origin Story

I inherited a WordPress site back in 2013, having only had brief dealings with WP before then. I initially though I had bitten off more than I could chew, so in true style I jumped in head first.

I soon found my way round, now with several WP updates and numerous plugin update installed, I know my way round the back end and the site has custom templates, shopping cart, responsive design and after many hours of CSS & PHP coding the layout flows throughout.

I am by no means a programming guru but can usually work my way round most issues, the guys & girls on the forum and the plugin developers are always keen to help, so always just ask.

There is always a list as long as my arm of improvements I would like to make, but they will all happen in good time. For now it is just a case of staying up to date with the latest updates and managing the orders.

If I have can pass on anything to any one else it would be that a child theme & backups will be your key to success. If you never try something new, you will never improve and providing you have regular backups you can always roll back.
