WordPress Origin Story

In 2012, a friend of mine reached out to me needing help with his church website and it happened to be built using WordPress. I jumped in and quickly found out where the theme came from and how to get support. As I got more familiar with the theme, and their other themes, I began to fall in love with WordPress in general. I used to think it would be too restrictive for me but I quickly found it to be just the opposite.

My first WordCamp was in Orange County in 2016 and I was blown away by the amazing community. Since then I have been attending WordCamps in San Diego, Orange County, and Sacramento. In 2018, I will be giving my first WordCamp talk at WordCamp Riverside, in Southern California
