Bio

I am a full-Stack Designer in the SUD Treatment Industry. I have been a part of this world for over 6 years and love it more and more every day as I get to help others, in some small way, get help and find hope in their battle against Substance Use Disorder. WordPress is my go to for about everything digital I work with. The tools and help in this community are some of the most valuable items in my arsenal. I have a deep interest in all things digital and an even deeper interest in things that go fast. I am an automotive enthusiast and love pushing the limits, every day I can… even in the snow. Family First always, Web Design, Photography, Videography, Rat Rods, Hot Rods, Artistic design, nature and mountains, ghost towns, cars, trucks, racing, and did I mention I like to go fast?, Serverless Office Migrations and setup, I can go on and on LOL!

WordPress Origin Story

I started with computers back in Jr. High School in the early 90’s. By the time I was a Freshman in High School in 94′ I was teaching the teacher how to use Word and troubleshoot Windows XP. A few years later, about 2004, I was working on my BA and fell in love with all things digital. I’ve always loved tech-toys and new electronic devices. Still do. Anyway, about a year later I started working for a very large software company and found myself rebuilding the internal support site which when I started was running on RedHat… I tested Drupal and a couple other CMS solutions but found that WordPress was a great fit. Ever since I started using this CMS, nothing out there has even come close to the versatility of WordPress. Still at it years later, I use WordPress more than ever. From legal offices and brick and mortar stores, to national 501c3’s and trade schools, I have used WordPress to implement and optimize businesses online presence. While it is not the extent of my knowledge in any way, WordPress has one of the most versatile toolboxes I have ever found. Compared to Drupal, Concrete and other CMS’s, WordPress is the best, hands down.
