Bio

I am a marketer through and through and WordPress is my vehicle of choice.

My fave tools: Beaver Builder Plugin and Theme (with customisations of course), and anything WPMUDev. I’m constantly learning about other plugins to further the capabilities of my sites.

WordPress Origin Story

I first started blogging on blogger.com around 2004, but the limitations frustrated me. I’ve played on typepad, geocities (back in the day!), google sites, tumblr, etc. When I started to get more serious about having a site that I could have better control over, I started looking at WordPress – both .com and .org, probably around 2011. I started helping small businesses with their marketing, and the few times I’ve helped people with other CMSs, I’ve just about been sent around the twist. I’ve had to delve into Magento, Drupal, Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, and I always come back to WordPress. It gives me the control I need as a marketer, and results in a beautiful site that people enjoy spending time on.
