As a "retired" educator, I began volunteering in-school, after-school, and with home education programs to help young children with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. The Learning Socially podcast was begun to help the parents of children who learn differently, and it grew out of my 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit, Sensory Friendly Learning Inc. My belief is that it is a waste of a young life to allow kids ages 5-8 to believe of themselves that they are losers because they can’t perform as fast or as competently as their classmates.

Interests

Learning more about Word Perfect and coding, training dogs to become therapy dogs and benefit children, tutoring one-on-one with young children, and enjoying our growing family (grandchildren !)
